Business as usual will not solve the marine debris crisis. We need to spark and support out-of-the-box thinking that can shape a better future for ocean health. 

The Genius Prize for Save Our Seas Innovation is a prize competition for fostering creative innovation in systems and technologies to reduce the amount of plastic entering our oceans and improve clean up efforts.

As mandated by the Save Our Seas 2.0 Act, Genius Prize competitions will be held on a biennial basis and may focus on areas such as biodegradable materials, sustainable packaging design, waste management and recycling, debris detection and removal, or circular economy practices.
